About WASCON

WASCON (The International Conference on the Environmental and Technical Implications of Construction with Alternative Materials) has been held approximately every three years since 1991. It provides a forum for exchange of ideas and current research nationally and internationally on the use of waste, industrial by-products and other recycled materials in construction. With the submission of abstracts, the authors oblige themselves to participate and present their papers at the conference once the submissions are accepted. At least one author of each abstract has to register and pay the registration fee before the deadline to warrant the inclusion of the paper in the conference program.

Review process: All abstracts will undergo a review process by the scientific committee.

Extended abstract submission (optional)

Authors are invited to submit an extended abstract after the acceptance of the abstract. The extended abstract will be published in E-conference proceedings.

Special issue

Selected high quality abstracts will be invited to submit full papers to the Special Issue of Journal of Material Cycles and Waste Management (springer). The details of the special issues will be available in due course.
